Audrey
Audrey is a true survivor. She was found on the side of the road with a broken leg after she fell off the back of a truck, heading for slaughter. Audrey received medical care at a wildlife center in New York before eventually making her way to us. Her brush with death left her with a permanent limp. She's unable to perch like normal turkeys, but she doesn't let that slow her down. You can often find her out grazing with her turkey friend, Cream.
Cream
Cream originally lived with our neighbors next door. Despite their having other turkeys, little Cream didn’t fit in with any of them. She was lonely and looking for a friend. We thought we’d try to introduce Cream to Audrey to see if they would hit it off…and boy did they ever! The two hens are inseparable! They search for bugs together, take dust baths side by side and spend their evenings with one another in the coop.
